Kodak's superior image quality is no accident, we've spent years perfecting our image algorithmsprocedures based on mathematical formulas that control the action of sensors scanning the image. These include:
- Scene Balance Algorithm - Compensates for non-normal exposures and color biases due to lighting and camera capability and also for under/over exposure and high-dynamic range images
- Noise Reduction Algorithms - Compensates for bad pixels, noisy camera sensors, compression artifacts, and noise enhancements caused by color and brightness adjustments
- Red Eye Reduction Algorithm - Removes red eye using a combination of flesh and face detection routines to find and reduce chroma of red eyes.
- Sharpening Algorithm and Unsharp Masking - Sharpens an image to compensate for optical blurring, while not enhancing noise
