These pictures were taken at the Klingspor Rool Extravaza held in the Hickory Metro Convention Center. WPW set up a booth to display and in some cases sell items that members have made. The show has also been a time to recruit new members. Members working the WPW booth were Rhys, Ruth, Betty, Chuck, Frank and Joey. Others members came by for a short time to help out inthe booth (Fred, Val, Donny, Bob, Richard).

Art Carney demostrates the use of a tablesaw sled (shoot board) and the Pocket Hole assembly system. We had a good turn out even though there was very little gasoline to fuel our cars to be found around the area this week.

Frank Cushman instructs on the basics of Intarsia and members got to try their hand out on the scroll saw and a piece of Intarsia themselves.

This meeting Cody of Porter Cable came to give us a demonstration of the 24" OMNIJIG Joinery System. 46 members attended the meeting.

New Woodcrafters officers were nonimated and elected during this meeting. Other business issued were handle and then John Leachy gave us instructions on how to inlay into furniture pieces. Many member projects were displayed and many members participated in the raffle.

The program for this meeting of the Woodcrafters was about Table Saw Sleds. Tony Bradley and Art Carney explained and actually built one style of sleds for the table saw. WPW members also brought in their versions of sleds to display during the "Show and Tell" portion of the meeting.

Fred Kelly gaves us a presentation of making tappered legs and coves using the table saw.

Bob Sauer presented a demostration of hand tools and Don McHugh presented a demonstration of carving.

Art Carney explains the use of Satins and Toners.

This session was about using ornamental milling machines. Tony Bradly, Gerald Olson and Bernie Ward presented the material.

Stained Glass in woodworking. Theron Caman WPW President demos the tools and procedures to make stained glass items that can be used in woodworking projects.

Board Elections, swap meet, raffles and show-n-tell were the events of day. Klingspor also had a warehouse sale going on out in the front of the building..

Donald Wright of Conover, NC demostrates the replacement of a chair seat. New foam, batting and material. Art Carney demostrates the use of Pocket Hole Jigs.

James Duxbury demostrates how to make wooden Kaleidoscopes and how to turn other odd shaped objects on the lath.

John Schierlman of Rustoleum Company explains various finishes, how they are developed and where to use them.

Fred Kelly instructs on the setup and use of a jointer.

New WP Woodcrafter member Lee Entrekin explains how to make native american style flutes.
